Craft Group
The Craft Group runs every second Tuesday at the Chelmsley Wood Baptist Church, Hedingham Grove from 10.30 am - 12 pm and is open to anyone with a learning disability.
We are a small, friendly group and apart from enjoying craft activities, it's a nice opportunity to meet other people from the community. We are supported by volunteers, which means we can ensure that everyone who attends is given the opportunity to participate fully in the activities. We encourage group members to help with the running of the group if they would like to (e.g. making tea, setting things up) and also encourage members to make choices about what activities they would like to do.
New volunteers are welcome and, like the coffee morning, it can be an informal introduction to
volunteering and a way to find out about SAtA.
Please contact us if you would like to find out dates.

Members of the group may also feed back ideas on how we might improve our services to our manager and to the Trustees' Management Committee.
The steering group does exactly what the name suggests, it helps to drive the group in the right direction and your views and thoughts are very welcome.
The first meeting of the Steering Group was held here at our offices on 29th October 2009 and the second on 29th January 2010.
The meetings will be held once a quarter for the first year and following that, at different times and venues to give everyone who wants to an opportunity to attend.
If you are interested in this idea and would like to talk about it further then please call to speak to Helen Pitt for more information.
You can phone Helen at the office on 0121-603-5576, ring her Mobile telephone: 07920-576-369
or send an e-mail to: helen@solihulladvocacy.org.uk
