Recycle for Solihull Advocacy
Everyone knows recycling is good for the environment, but did you know that recycling is also good for Solihull Advocacy?
Solihull Action through Advocacy works with BCMY Ltd to raise money by recycling unwanted mobile telephones and used printer cartridges – and we want you to help us!
BCMY launched a website called recycle4charity.co.uk because they were concerned that over four million used cartridges are thrown away each year and end up in landfill sites. Not only is this a huge waste of resources, but the empty inkjets are worth money to charities when recycled. They have also seen an increasing need to recycle mobile phones, another item worth £££ for charities – 50% of the resale value of your old unwanted mobile phones will be donated to us.
By supporting the Recycle 4 Charity campaign you will be helping the environment without any cost to you, whilst donating the proceeds to us as the charity of your choice.
Just click on the banner and follow the instructions to have freepost envelopes sent to your home or office so you can start recycling for Solihull Advocacy now.

The Weather Lottery
The views of people with a learning disability have all too often been overlooked. We offer advocacy support to enable people with a learning disability to speak out for the things that matter to them by building long term partnerships and being there in a crisis.
By supporting our Weather lottery scheme you will help us to provide advocacy support
The Weather Lottery supplies all the forms and does all the administration of the lottery apart from finding participants; this is totally cost and risk free to Solihull Action through Advocacy.
How Does It Work?
It is simple, there's no hidden catch. There are 3 lotteries you can join.
The first lottery is the Sunshine Lottery. Choose six numbers from 0 to 9 and enter them on the application form. (For the form just follow the link to our page on the Weather Lottery website at the foot of this section). If your numbers match the last digit of the daily Fahrenheit temperatures (in the right order) of Corfu, Istanbul, Tenerife, Innsbruck, Edinburgh and Stockholm, you win the top prize of £10,000! The great thing about The Sunshine Lottery is you don't share a jackpot. If anyone else has the same numbers as you they also get £10,000.
Match 3 numbers and win £2.
Match 4 numbers and win £20.
Match 5 Numbers and win £200.
There are 2 other lotteries with bigger prizes, the Lightening Lottery and the Cyclone Lottery. You can find outt about them by following the link at the foot of this section.
If you contact us at Solihull Action through Advocacy we can also send you a leaflet about these 2 new lotteries.
How Much Does It Cost?
Each entry line (i.e. each set of 6 numbers) costs £1 per week (25p per day); you can have up to 3 lines a week. There is a draw every day from Monday to Thursday, so you have a chance of winning a prize 4 times a week! You pay monthly by standing order - meaning no last minute dashes to the newsagents! (You can also pay by cheque if you wish)
Where Does My Money Go?
All the money is kept securely in a stakeholder fund, 35% of the funding goes directly to Solihull Action through Advocacy and 45% goes to provide prizes. The prizes are guaranteed by Lloyds of London.
How Do I Know If I’ve Won?
You can check your numbers in the Daily Telegraph or you can always use the Weather Lottery web site However, there is no need for you to check them as all prizes are guaranteed and sent out automatically.
Please support us by filling in your entry form today
